Starboys Are Just Like Us: The Weeknd Is Playing 'Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom'

The Weeknd has recently gone through some public image issues, as his show The Idol was universally panned and he took pains to insist that he's a different person from the creep he plays on TV. Well, it turns out that Abel Tesfaye really is just a normal guy — like the rest of us, he's playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Nintendo Switch.

The Weeknd was recently photographed with a fan [via Pop Crave]. In the shot, he's proudly holding up his Switch, showing that he's playing Zelda. Hell yeah, buddy! 

Unfortunately, the image isn't high enough resolution to see his inventory — so there's no word on how many Korok Seeds he has collected, if he's doing all the side-quests or simply going straight to the temples, or if he agrees that the sky islands theme is the song of the year. When he finds a Star Fragment, does he declare himself a motherfucking Starboy?
 
As of this writing, it's 5:15 p.m., so it's almost time for a little Tears of the Kindgom.
