After Charli XCX teased its arrival in January, the Nintendo-themed amusement park at Universal Studios Japan has now received an opening date.Super Nintendo World will officially open at USJ on February 4. The park had previously been set to open this year, though plans were ultimately derailed by the coronavirus pandemic.
A report from IGN highlights Super Nintendo World's "immense" recreation of Bowser's Castle, featuring a massive bronze statue of the villain himself, and rollercoaster Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge, which will bring the racing franchise's courses to life using AR and projection mapping technology.
That attraction can be previewed in the official theme park trailer found below alongside some more shots of Bowser's Castle. At present, Japan's borders are closed to international tourism as the pandemic continues.
