Foo Fighters Unearth Old Recordings on 'Live on the Radio 1996' EP
It's always a good day if Foo Fighters are involved. Today's treat comes via Amazon Music, who have released a recently unearthed live set from 1996.

The new EP, fittingly titled Live on the Radio 1996, was recorded as part of the Rockline radio show. It includes acoustic versions of some songs from their self-titled debut, follow-up The Colour and the Shape, a rarity called "How I Miss You" and a version of "Wattershed" that includes lyrics about a trip to Canada, where Dave Grohl sings in the style of the B-52's vocalist Fred Schneider.

"The band laughed and then dove in and started to work up the idea. The show would cut away for commercials and [Foo Fighters] would practice the new 'Wattershed' idea," engineer Scott Weiss said in a press release. "The version of 'Wattershed' that would soon be known as 'Water Fred' was born."

Live on the Radio 1996 is available today via Amazon Music, and you can check it out below.
