Published Oct 10, 2018After a year, Lone, aka Matt Cutler, wraps up his four-part EP series with his final instalment, Ambivert Tools Volume Four. The series, initially billed as a return to Lone's "hypnotic 4/4 excursions," follows through on its promise and provides the perfect cap to the veteran UK producer's project.
Featuring three new tracks, Ambivert Tools Volume Four delights listeners with soundscapes of rugged house, classic techno and 808 bass lines. "Pulsar" delivers Lone's "trademark atmospheric melody/harmony," while "Blue Moon Tree" shines with its take on ethereal electronic, channelling crisp percussions and vocal samples. "Oedo 808," as the name suggests, brings the bass with its 808 programming — establishing itself as the EP's inherent dance floor track.
Ambivert Tools Volume Four follows in the footsteps of its predecessors in cementing Lone's talent for crafting relevant and melodic electronic music. After more than a decade honing his sound within the British music scene, he successfully delivers a lasting quartet of EPs that speak to the kind of immersive experience he's sought to deliver throughout his career.
