Land of Talk Start 'Indistinct Conversations' on New Album, Map Out North American Tour
Land of Talk have announced a new album titled Indistinct Conversations. It's out May 15 via Dine Alone Records. Right now, though, you can already hear the record's newly shared track "Weight of That Weekend."

The album marks the follow-up to 2017's Life After Youth. Bandmates Elizabeth Powell, Mark "Bucky" Wheaton and Christopher McCarron recorded the LP in a studio built by McCarron in Wheaton's basement.

Indistinct Conversations
comes in at 11 songs, including lead single "Weight of That Weekend."

"'Weight of That Weekend' is a recognition of having been on the receiving end of a lifetime of sexual coercion, assault, boundary violations, and subsequent gaslighting. It all just came to light after an especially heavy weekend a few summers back," Powell said in a statement. "I was so sick of carrying all this weight that wasn't mine to bear. So sick of being owned by all of this. Imposed on me mostly by men. I grew so sick of suffering and being slowed-down by this weight. The song is a prayer for a lightness of being. A prayer for capital 'L' Love."

Land of Talk have also mapped out tour dates in support of the new album,  including Canadian shows in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. See those dates below, as well.
