Deftones Tease New Album Release
Last month, we learned that Deftones were eyeing a September release date for their ninth studio album, and as that month draws nearer, the band have ramped up the teasing accordingly.

This past Friday (August 14), Deftones blacked out their social media profiles and website — a sure sign that something is afoot. They followed that up with a separate video tease that features the phrase, "No you will never find me." What enterprising fans have found is that source code makes multiple references to "0925," leading listeners to believe that September 25 could be the potential release date.

Additionally, the dot illustration found on the band's official website continues to be rounded out. As you can see above, the design appears to show a pair of eyes, not too dissimilar from those that appear on tour flyer designs from earlier this year.

If that somehow wasn't enough, fans on Reddit have noted that new phrases appear upon playing some of Deftones' earlier material on Spotify, including "We Devour," "The Days Ahead" and "This Is our Time."

Deftones' ninth studio LP will follow 2016's Gore. The band had also teased a reissue of their seminal White Pony album for its 20th anniversary, along with new remix collection Black Stallion. As previously reported, the band recorded the forthcoming effort with producer Terry Date.
