Published Feb 03, 2020After teasing their return from a 15-year hiatus last year, the Distillers frontwoman Brody Dalle has reportedly confirmed the band's new album will arrive this summer.
As NME reports, the punk icons will have some new material for us in time for their forthcoming summer tour. In a since-removed article, Dalle reportedly told Kerrang! to expect something extraordinary from the band in the coming months.
"Time will tell, but it's a masterpiece and I think people are going to love it. And yes, it will be out by summer," said Dalle.
"What happened with Spinnerette and making a solo record was that I kinda broke the seal," she continued. "In terms of getting out of the box I was in and being able to go wherever I wanted. And I've had the freedom ever since. I had to go there in order to figure out who I was and have that freedom to move around. I still love playing fast music — it's in my blood, but I also like to move around. I think that's what artists should do."
The so-far unnamed album will be the Distillers' follow-up to 2003's Coral Fang.
In 2018, the band shared a handful of new singles in preparation for their new record. Listen to those here.
After wrapping up a handful of Canadian tour dates with Alexisonfire last month, the Distillers have also announced a new run of European dates. You can find those dates below.
